Ann Mason, 84, of Gastonia, NC, passed away December 8, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born November 7, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the late Roy and Naomi Nanke.

Ann retired from (Western Auto) Advance Auto Parts Distribution Center after 35 years of service. She loved painting, arts, ceramics, and making jewelry. She was a very artsy person. She loved her family immensely.

Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Dean Mason; daughter, Julie Richards and husband David; sons, Daniel Mason, and Timothy Nanke and wife Kerry; grandsons, Ty Richards, Jonathan Logan Nanke, Justin Nanke, and Cody Richards; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024, 3:00-4:30 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Road, Gastonia, NC. A service to celebrate Ann's life, officiated by Rev. Junior Morris, will follow the visitation at 4:30 pm in the chapel.
