Ann Craig Costner Martin, 78, of Gastonia, passed into her heavenly home on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas surrounded by her family. She was born January 20, 1936 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Joseph Hunter Craig and Mabel Price Craig. Ann retired from Gaston College where she was the bookstore manger. She was a lifelong member of East Baptist Church, Gastonia where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years. She loved to entertain people as the "Bag Lady" and she took credit for all her grandchildren's talents. She gave our family constant love and support and left our hearts full of wonderful memories. We will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at East Baptist Church, 114 North Church St. Gastonia officiated by Pastor Tim Parker. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be private. Ann is survived by: sons, Billy Costner, Tony Costner and wife Andrea, Robby Costner and wife Leigh Ann; daughter, Angela Rednour and husband Wayne; brothers, Hunter Craig and wife Frances, Eddie Craig; sister, Hilda Lowery; grandchildren, Heather, Tasha, Stefan, Justin, Amber and Olivia Costner, Anna and Tucker Rednour; nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: husband, Russell Martin; brothers, Gene Craig and Tommy Lee Craig; sister, Vivian Harmon; sister-in-law, Frances Craig. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to East Baptist Church 114 North Church Street Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
