Anita Messer Blake

Anita Messer Blake, 56, of High Shoals, NC, passed away February 3, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

She was born January 2, 1968, in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Reeves Boone Messer and Jean Price Wilson.

Anita was a sweet, kind, caring and giving person. She had an infectious smile and laugh. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 10, 2024, at High Shoals Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.

Anita is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Anthony Blake; son, Joseph Blake; brother, David Messer; stepsister, Lori Haney and husband Lee.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by brother, Robert Messer; uncles, Johnny Price, Kenneth Price, J.B. Messer; aunt, Brenda Messer.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
