Angelica Gonzalez

Angelica Gonzalez Laboy, 89, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her residence.

She was born February 2, 1934, in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Francisco Gonzalez and Julia Laboy.

Angelica was a strong-willed lady who was very independent. She loved to dance and having her nails painted by her granddaughter. She also enjoyed puzzles and being outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Ramirez; sons, Reinaldo and Reinaldi Lillo; grandson, Abraham Lillo; and great-granddaughter, Caylipso Ruiz.

Angelica is survived by her daughters, Magdalena Ruiz and Antonia Roman; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Abner Ramos, will be held 5pm, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
