Andy Dorsey

Andy Dorsey, 48, of Gastonia, passed away January 13, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

A Gaston County native, he was born November 4, 1969.

Andy was a member of Plainview Baptist Church where he was an usher and choir member.

He graduated from Webb Street School.

Andy was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers and NASCAR, and enjoyed watching wrestling.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie and Darlene West of the home; sister, Angela Duvall of Gastonia; half-sister, Jamie Lynn Dorsey of Gastonia; half-brother, Joshua Dorsey of Gastonia; grandmother, Joyce Phillips of Gastonia; nephews, Donovan and Darren Duvall; aunts, Vickey Cooper of Murrells Inlet, SC, Linda and Mendall Smith of Gastonia, Renee Canipe of Kings Mountain; uncles, Bruce Fowler and Marvin West; and numerous other aunts and uncles.

A funeral service, officiated by the Revs. Mark Hovis and Junior Morris, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Plainview Baptist Church in Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
