Andrew Love Freeman

Andrew Love Freeman (affectionately called Drew, Drew Baby, Brudda, Bubba, and other dear and fond names) was born February 23, 1999, in Gastonia, NC. He was the son of Tobbin Freeman and Amanda Plemmons.

Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, JoaAnn Freeman; and maternal grandparents, Randy Plemmons and Merlie Plemmons.

Andrew attended Gaston County Public Schools and was a 2017 graduate of Forestview High School. Andrew was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers. He was a sports analyst and statistician in his own right. Attending church and fellowshipping with the believers has always been a joy to Andrew. He was a member of Yorkwood Church of God, where he was able to enjoy the beauty and holiness of Jesus. Andrew has a strong belief and faith in God. He showed his love by his desire to be in worship, he talked about the goodness of Jesus and demonstrated the love of Jesus through his conversation and smile. Andrew knew the importance of being a true Christian. As the songwriter penned the song Souled Out, we believe "Drew Baby" was Souled Out for the Lord, his mind was made up and his heart was fixed.

Andrew leaves to cherish his loving memories, his parents; three brothers, David Swanger, Michael Freeman (Breanna) and Cody Freeman; four step-sisters, Tonda Foxx, Andrea McQuestor, Kassidy Perkins, and Keylee Love; auntie, Samantha Hankerson (Angelo); uncle, James Freeman; aunts, Helen McKnight, Schvonnah Plemmons, Angie Plemmons; first cousins, Holden Hankerson, Courtland Hankerson, and Jayden Hankerson. He also leaves behind a great-uncle, Chance Freeman, Sr. (Anita); great-aunts, Diana Simmons (Devrick), Phyllis Whitworth (Orddrell); and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Chris Kennedy, will be held 2:30pm, Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Yorkwood Church of God – 405 Stagecoach Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
