Andrew Albert Farley, Iii

Andrew Albert Farley, III, "Andy" or "Drew", died at his Gastonia, North Carolina home, while under Hospice care, on January 21, 2024, after a short illness.

He was the son of Andrew Albert Farley, Jr. and Westelle Ritchie Farley.  He was the grandson of Andrew Albert Farley, Sr. and Mattie Evans Farley.

Andy was born on July 3, 1953, in Danville, VA.  He graduated from George Washington High School.  He was employed at Thompson Arthur Paving Company before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force where he served until retirement.  He then worked at several small businesses in the Gastonia/Charlotte area.

Andrew was known for his faithfulness to his friends both in Gastonia and Danville and to his dog Buddy who predeceases him.  He enjoyed frequent visits to his hometown, of which he was fond.

Drew is survived by his three daughters; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; by his sister; and two brothers.
