Andre Castro, Jr.

Andre Castro, Jr., 59, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1964, in Bronx Co, NY, son of Andre Castro, Sr. and the late Naida Ortega.

Andre was a retired bus driver for New Jersey Transit for more than 25 years. He then worked for the city of Gastonia as a bus driver. Andre was an avid motorcycle rider and loved mechanical work, he was very technology savy.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jacquelyn Bailey; daughter, Lis Madeline Castro; step-daughter, Sabrina Chantel McKoy (Keyla); sisters, Minerva Elsayed (their daughter Isabel Cruz), and Nancy Cruz (Luis); and grandchildren, Liah Belle Hernandez, Lume Hernandez, and Charlotte McKoy.
