Alva Marvin Barchus Jr.

Alva Marvin Barchus Jr., 89, of Gastonia, passed away June 13, 2019 at The Brian Center in Gastonia.
He was born September 22, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Dorothy Barchus and Alva Marvin Barchus Sr.
Alva was a member of Adaville Baptist Church in Spindale, NC. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 2422. He enjoyed playing the drums and storytelling.
He is survived by children, David, Sharon and Kathy; nephew, Andy Clark; great-nephew, Ted Clark; nieces Rebecca Mane and Cindy Clark; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Barchus.
All services will be private.
