Allie Lewis

Allie Lewis, age 92, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at her residence. Daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret Owensby Farris, she was born March 1, 1922 in York County, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moffett "Buddy" Palmer Lewis; brother, Hunter Farris; sister, Sue Farris; and special friend, Sara King Barker. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her granddaughter, Cathy Duncan and husband, Timothy of Gastonia; grandson, Kenneth Barker II and wife, Lelia Teasley of Gastonia; and special friend, Kenneth Firestone Barker. A graveside funeral service, with speaker Kenneth Barker II, will be held 3 p.m. Monday, December 22, at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
