Aline Howard Duncan, 82, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center – Mercy in Charlotte.
Mrs. Duncan was a faithful member of McAdenville Wesleyan Church.
She was born March 10, 1934 in Lucia, daughter of the late Edna Howard Parker.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Nick Howard, Bob Parker, Roger Parker, and Dick Poole; and her sister, Margaret Young.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Samuel Duncan of the home; son, Johnny W. Howard and wife Kathy of Cramerton; daughters, Karen D. Hudgins and husband Jerry of Auburn, GA, Linda D. Smith and husband Steve of Gastonia, Lisa D. Whitt and husband Robert of Mt. Holly; brother, William Poole and wife Brenda of Gastonia; sister, Shirley Ennis; grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Justin, Brooke, and Kayla Hudgins, Leslie Foulk, Dana Johnston; step-grandchildren, Molly and Kathryn Whitt; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Campbell Foulk, and Kathryn Johnston.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Patrick Hannon, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at McAdenville Wesleyan Church, 300 Wesleyan Dr. McAdenville.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
