Aliene Featherstone Rainer

Belmont, NC Aliene Featherstone Rainer, 91, passed away November 16, 2012 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas. She was born January 3, 1921, a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late J.E. Featherstone and Emma Graham. Mrs. Rainer was a member of East Belmont Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Leader of GA's, Bible Study groups and Vacation Bible School. She was retired from Vision Hosiery and Climax Mill. A memorial service will be held 2 pm on Saturday at Gaston Place, 1750 Robinwood Rd., Gastonia, NC, officiated by Rev. Jeff Taylor. She is survived by: her son, Tim Reep and wife Julia; sister, Tillie Cabaniss; brother, Haskell Sherrill; grandchildren, Thad Reep and wife, Jennifer, Tracy Curtis and husband, Justin; great grandchildren, John Strawn, Ethan & Jacob Reep, Claire, Elijah and Janna Curtis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: spouse, James Rainer; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Memorials may be sent to East Belmont Baptist Church, 501 E. Catawba Street Belmont, NC 28012.
