Alice Leatherman Rushing

Alice Leatherman Rushing, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center.  She was born February 7, 1937 in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Whitworth Leatherman.  Alice was a member of Christ Church at River's Edge.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Ray Kruntorad, will be held 2 pm Friday at Christ Church at River's Edge, former East Belmont Presbyterian, 901 E Catawba St. Belmont, NC.  The family will receive friends from 1 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.  Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Scott Richmond and wife Phyllis, Barry Richmond and wife Shanda; grandchildren, BJ Richmond and wife Laurel, Wesley Richmond and wife Joy, Taylor Richmond and fiancé Chris, Halee Beck and husband David, Amanda Richmond and fiancé Bryce, Alanna Richmond; great grandchildren, Jake Beck, Wyatt Campbell, Avery Beck, Paisley Campbell, Linley Richmond and Isabelle Richmond.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church at River's Edge.
