Alice Bush Rogers

Alice Bush Rogers, 89, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at her residence.

She was born September 5, 1932, in Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Bascom Bush and Sallie Reece Bush Johnson.

Alice was a generous soul, who was always kind and friendly to others. She loved crafts and to sew, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Forest Wilson Rogers; daughter, Karen Carpenter; brothers, Billy, Jake, John, and Marvin Bush; and sister, Vivian Bush Goodwin and Sarah Bush Adams.

Alice is survived by her son, Michael S. Carpenter; daughters, Sherry Clancy, and Christie Hayes; half-brother, Robert Johnson; half-sisters, Brenda Johnson Mode, Phyllis Johnson Griffie, and Pat Johnson Elmore; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchild.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette, will be held 11 am Friday, October 8, 2021, at Gaston Memorial Park - 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054 .
