Albert Russ

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Albert Bernice Russ III's passing on December 24, 2025, at the age of 72. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Albert lived in Gastonia, NC, where he contributed much of his life working at Parkdale Mills in the cotton textiles industry. His dedication and hard work were appreciated by many, but it was his love for life that truly defines his legacy. Albert was a member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.

Born on January 3, 1953, Albert was a man of many interests, with a special passion for decorating for Christmas that brought joy to his family and friends every holiday season. His warm spirit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Albert leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Russ; children, Sandy Campion (Jim) and Scott Gaddis; grandchildren, Candace Poole, Caleb Campion, Kadan Campion, Ahlivia Gaddis; and 2 great grandchildren, Keaten and Kallie; who will carry his memory close to their heart.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Hollywood Cemetery, to celebrate Albert's life.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents Albert II and Geraldine Russ.
