Aileen Carr

Aileen Huffstetler Carr, 80, of Charlotte, passed away March 24, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

A Gaston County native, Mrs. Carr was born on April 22, 1936, daughter of the late Woodrow and Pearl Huffstetler.

Aileen was a member of First Baptist Church of Lowell and was employed as a Unit Secretary with CMC Trauma Center in Charlotte for almost 40 years until retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Carr; daughter, Adele Carr; daughter-in-law, Pam Carr; and brother, Woodrow "Bubber" Huffstetler Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Shirleen Hanson of Gastonia, Jeff Carr of Gastonia, Lori Adler and husband Allan of St. Thomas, Jada Winters and husband Jon of Gastonia, Amber Field and husband Harry of Mt. Holly; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy McDaniel and husband Jim, Brenda Carr and husband Billy, Debbie Dills and husband David.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jack Fleming will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 at First Baptist Church of Lowell, 400 W 1st St, Lowell.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
