Aaron Scott Moir, 42, of Dallas, NC, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2021.
Aaron was born on September 20, 1979, to James and Mary Ann Moir of Newton, NC.
He graduated from Maiden High School in 1997 and studied culinary arts at Johnson and Wales and the Art Institute. He had a passion for culinary arts and loved his job.
Aaron was a loving father, husband, and friend. Aaron enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and kids, playing tennis and golf with Kyle, hiking with Eva, listening to his favorite jam bands, watching his favorite college and professional sports teams. He also enjoyed coaching his children in youth sports.
He will be remembered for his infectious smile, hilarious sense of humor and his ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures.
Aaron will be dearly missed by his wife, Brynn; his children, Kyle and Eva; his parents; brothers, Robbie (Joyce) Moir of Snellville, GA and Kevin Moir of Newton, NC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was also incredibly close to his wife's family, his beloved in-laws in NC and NY.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
